What Schexit is

Schexit is a workforce app companies use with their employees for scheduling, shift swaps, and time tracking. Your employer (the company account that invited you) controls the workspace your data lives in.

Information we collect

• Account info: name, email address, and optionally a phone number — provided by you or by the manager who invited you.
• Work data: schedules, shifts, swap requests, and time-clock punches you and your company create in the app.
• Location at punch time: if you allow it, we record a single GPS coordinate when you clock in or out so your employer can verify the punch happened at the work site. We do not track your location at any other time, in the background, or between punches.
• Device push token: so we can deliver shift and schedule notifications.

How we use it

Solely to provide the service to you and your employer: showing schedules, processing swaps, computing timecards, sending work notifications, and (if your employer enables it) preparing payroll exports. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Managers and owners in your company workspace can see your work data, roster contact details, and punch locations. Other employees see only schedule information. Our platform staff may access workspace data to provide customer support; support access is logged in your company's audit log. Screen-sharing support sessions start only when you generate a code and share it.

Service providers

Schexit runs on Google Firebase (authentication, database, hosting, cloud functions, and push notifications). If your employer connects a payroll provider (such as Insperity), hours summaries are shared with that provider at your employer's direction.

Retention & deletion

Data is retained while your company account is active. To delete your account and personal data, use schexit.com/deleteaccount (no app required), contact your employer's workspace owner, or email hello@schexit.com. Requests are processed within 30 days.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is enforced by per-company security rules, and sensitive provider credentials are stored server-side only and never exposed to apps.

Children

Schexit is a workplace tool intended for users of legal working age. It is not directed at children under 13.
